To end the series of science workshops for Year 5 children, Wolsingham Comprehensive invited parents to come along and take part in a lesson with their child. The lesson explored forces, friction and changing states of matter. The session was very well organised and feedback from parents and children has been fantastic. They had lots of fun and it was really lovely for the children to work alongside their parents, learning problem solving skills as well as science facts.
Next half term the children will taking part in a similar series of workshops focussing on sport and PE.
These sessions are organised by Wolsingham Comprehensive School as part of their transition programme to ensure children are comfortable and positive about their move to secondary school at the end of year 6.
