Gone are the days of polaroid cameras, waiting a week for your photographs to be developed then presenting them all within a photo album, or at least the ones that didn’t have people’s heads chopped from the shot!…..and remember those negatives?
Pictures and photos are now available instantly – no long wait! They can be instantly shared too with friends and relatives all across the world using social media. The internet, including social media, has opened up an exciting new world filled with benefits for everyone. It has also opened doors to many potential dangers for children.
The internet is always changing and being able to keep up to date with your children’s use of technology can be a challenge. You may sometimes feel that your children have better technical skills than you do, however children still need advice and protection when it comes to using the internet.

7th February is Safer Internet Day. There are lots of great hints and tips on supporting your children to be safe online.
This week in school the children have been thinking about internet safety, they watched this informative video during an assembly.
