On Monday 18th December 2017, the whole school came together to take part in our first ever Christingle Workshop. Over 130 children took part in the workshop in the school hall. Mrs Howes delivered a presentation explaining the meaning and symbolism of the Christingle. The workshop was facilitated by staff, Foundation Governors and The Friends of Stanhope Barrington. The children had a great time and learnt about the different elements of the Christingle.
The Christingles were then used during our Candlelight Procession from school to the Methodist Chapel, where we delivered our first Christmas performance of the year. Following our second performance in St. Thomas’ Church, the children took home their very own Christingle. This event was hugely popular and we hope to deliver a similar event again next year.
Thank you to everyone who helped to make the workshop so special.
