On Thursday 4th April 2019, St. Thomas’ Church as packed (with standing room only) as parents, relatives and members of our school community joined together to celebrate one of the most significant events in the Christian calendar.
Our service this year was a combination of celebrating Easter along with a celebration of music across the school. Each class had created a piece of artwork linked to a part of the Easter story which was displayed in church and explained by a number of very confident readers.
Interspersed with the story of Easter, were performances from our brass and violin musicians. We were delighted to welcome our local Toddler group who sang and played instruments together.
At the end of the service the children were all given an Easter egg by the Church Wardens. Many people attending commented how much they enjoyed the service and how impressed they were with the confidence of the children.
