On Sunday 18th September we set off on our Kingswood adventure! When we arrived we did indoor climbing and then completed a scrapheap challenge. We had to make a castle out of cardboard which would withstand water bombs! The winning team got to choose two people to have water bombs thrown at them and one person to have a bucket of water tipped over their head. Bravely, we chose Mrs Cross and Dean who were soaking wet by the end of the night!
The next day our activities began in earnest and we had a mixture of problem solving and team building sessions along with thrilling high rope activities such as the famous 3G swing, Jacob’s ladder and leap of faith. Our favourite activity was the 3G swing. We had a fab team leader called Joe who looked after us throughout our visit.
Our evening activities included a camp fire which was excellent and a disco which was great fun. We ended each night with a hot chocolate and then went back to our dorms.
The first night the poor teacher’s had very little sleep (about 3 hours altogether), the second night we were pretty exhausted and weren’t too bad (if you can call 1am not too bad!) and our last night we were very tired and slept most of the night (well most of us anyway).
We can’t wait to go back!
