On Monday 16th May 2016 we started our Morning Mile. Children, parents, staff and governors are invited to come along at 8.30am each morning to take part. We either run or walk ten laps of the school field, which is equivalent to one mile. So far the event has been extremely popular with over 50 people taking part each day.
Research has shown that the Morning Mile improves fitness and well-being but also provides other benefits in the form of increased focus and concentration during lessons. It is fantastic to see so many adults taking part, encouraging and sharing this experience with their children – so a huge thank you for all of your support!
A register is taken and when someone achieves different milestones, they receive a certificate. The milestones are 5, 10 and 25 miles. So keep on running!
