Stanhope is a small market town in County Durham, in England and is situated on the River Wear between Eastgate and Frosterley on the north east side of Weardale. Stanhope is surrounded by moorland in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
At Stanhope Barrington C of E Primary School, we aim to give your child the very best education possible in a caring, safe and happy environment. Stanhope Barrington CE Primary School is a member of the Durham Diocesan MAT (DDMAT). The school converted to academy status in April 2020 when it joined DDMAT. DDMAT is a Multi Academy Trust consisting of nine primary schools within the Diocese of Durham. The schools work together to provide educational excellence through Christian based ethos and values.
