Some of you will remember two years ago when we held a Tree Planting Day. Every child in the school planted a tree and wrote a message or name for their tree. It is now two years later the orchard, at the back of the school, is looking fantastic. The photos show how much the trees have grown and how spectacular the space is now. There are all kinds of birds and insects using the habitat and the children use this area for lessons. Key Stage one have even introduced four new planters in the area and developing their own allotment to fit in with our current curriculum theme of ‘Food for Thought’. They have already planted tayberry and raspberry bushes and have big plans for developing the raised beds. I hope you enjoy the photos of our developing orchard.
