It’s summer, well not quite officially, but soon enough. The signs are all there: warmer air, sunny skies, the ice cream van at the stepping stones, queues for 99’s at the café, bikers and tourists occupying the marketplace benches munching fish and chips, flowers in bloom, allotments pushing up their first shoots, the shrieks and laughter emanating from over the wall at the outdoor pool and kids paddling in the river. I love summer. I love that I don’t have to fuss with winter coats, hats and mittens. Getting out the door with children just gets so much, well, easier. But wait, what about sun cream? Sun hats? Water bottles?
