The year 6 children have, at last, completed their SATs. Phew! The tests this year were extremely challenging and each pupil worked really hard and did their very best to complete them. The teachers, staff and entire school community commend their efforts and we are very proud of each and every one of them.
The SATs test ability in maths and literacy, but they also serve as an opportunity to learn about the value of a challenge. Any given challenge in life may seem daunting, scary and maybe even impossible, but when faced and overcome there comes a real sense of accomplishment. The experience of completing the SATs will serve the children well as they embark on all future challenges whether in school or beyond. They are now armed with the knowledge that with hard work, discipline and support they can do amazing things. Watching these children overcome this challenge is also a good reminder for us to embrace those things in life that challenge us to develop, to learn and to grow.
Well done to the children of year 6 for rising to the challenge and for reminding us of this valuable lesson.
