A very colourful Pride Colour Run
On Monday 27th June 2022, we held our Pride Colour Run. Wow! What a fantastic event. It was lovely to see so many children, parents, relatives and members of staff joining in this really inclusive and joyous event.
We raised £140 which will be spent on books on diversity for the school library. Thank you to everyone who took part – I hope you had as much fun as we did!
Please visit the Whole School Events section for more photographs!
Ruby Learning Zone’s Community Project
Please remember to support the Ruby Learning Zone’s Feeding Families Festival on Friday 1st July 2022. There will be 5 different activities for children to take part in and for each the ‘price’ will be an item of food. There are some amazing prizes available and Ruby hope to fill two huge food boxes for the Feeding Families Project. We appreciate that not all families can afford to donate 5 items of food so please be reassured that no child will be left out and everyone will take part but we do hope that those who can support the festival will do so.
Thank you.

Change of date for RSHE Briefing
Due to unavoidable circumstances the Parent Briefing on the RSHE (Relationships, Sex and Health Education) curriculum has had to be changed.
It had been arranged for Friday 24th June and has now moved to Thursday 30th June at 4pm in the school hall.
This is a session for parents to find out more about this new curriculum which was introduced during lockdown and to find out what your child will taught in each Learning Zone as they progress through the school.
Apologies for any inconvenience or confusion but we look forward to seeing you at the briefing if you would like to come along.
Y5/6 London Trip
The Year 5 and 6 children had an amazing time visiting London. Many children expressed nerves when getting onto the London and Eye and when embarking on the boat tour of the Thames however, all of our children showed great resilience and determination, overcoming their fears to board both activities. You can see from the photographs the pride in their faces as well as the amount off fun that was had. Day two took us to the Natural History Museum and for a walk through London to Buckingham Palace. The children behaved impeccably and all of the staff had a fantastic time. We can’t wait for the next trip!
Clogging and Cakes: A Success!
Wow! What a fantastic day it was on Saturday (18th June 2022) when the Gillow family gave a Clog Dancing display outside of St. Thomas’ Church. They also sold cakes which were kindly made and donated by Lynn Uren. The event was well attended and supported by our local community and raised a total of £317.50 for our school – an amazing total.
It was so lovely to see so many of our families (both old and new) come together to support the school.
