This group works with our Thrive Practitioners and Adult Mental Health First Aiders. They receive training on how to support children who may be unhappy or have worries in school as well as being the first point of contact for children at playtimes and lunchtimes who may just need someone to talk to or play with.
2022 – 2023
Our role across school is to promote wellbeing and good mental health. Through discussions with our peers we suggest and carry out activities to promote our wellbeing and positive mental health, including mindfulness and supporting mental health awareness days.
We are also responsible for providing days in which we have an alternative curriculum, in which we plan a day where we swap our usual curriculum for a different type of curriculum.
Our Happiness Heroes, this year, are Ellie-Mae, Riley, Zach, Ollie and Addilyn.
World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health day is October 10th. This year, the Happiness Heroes worked hard to make green ribbon bows for all the children and staff in school. The ribbons show support for mental health. We made over 170 ribbons and distributed these to all staff and Learning Zones.
